A Half Masked Flat

IMG_0308[1]

I bought this mask in a shop in Barcelona back in January. We (a group of students of dramaturgy, also including Rasmus of this Photography class) were on a study trip that included visiting La Fura dels Baus and Institut del Teatro, the latter celebrating its 100th aniversary this year and is the only institution teaching professionals using the local language (Catalan), as well as seeing a handful of plays. We received a poster each from the Institut which will be framed and go up on the wall along with the mask and a few pictures from the trip and a few postcards and replicas from Museo Picasso.

More masks are to follow on the walls – including one bought in Verona on a high school study trip to Italy.
